Worldwide Distribution Compliance Notes

Our apps are designed for worldwide distribution and follow privacy practices intended to comply with major international regulations. The apps do not collect personal information about the user, do not use analytics or tracking technologies, and do not share data with external services unless the user explicitly chooses to export data using their own apps such as e-mail or file-sharing tools.

General data-protection principles

Because our apps do not gather, store, or transmit personal information about the user, they naturally align with privacy requirements in regions such as the European Union (GDPR), the United Kingdom (UK GDPR), the United States (including state-level privacy laws), Canada, Australia, and other jurisdictions with data-protection rules.

Children’s privacy regulations

Our apps are intended for use by adults in professional or hobbyist contexts and are not directed at children. They do not collect or infer age, do not contain child-focused features, and do not include advertising or profiling. This supports compliance with laws such as COPPA (United States) and similar child-privacy regulations in other countries.

Location and GNSS data considerations

Some apps use location or GNSS (GPS) information only for the app’s core functionality, such as displaying the device’s position or synchronising a start clock. Location data is processed exclusively on the device and is not uploaded to any server unless the user explicitly chooses to export it. This approach helps ensure that location-privacy laws in various regions are respected.

Export controls

The apps do not contain custom cryptography. They rely only on standard encryption mechanisms provided by the operating system and common network protocols, such as HTTPS, FTPS, and SFTP, where applicable. These protocols are used solely to protect data in transit (for example, if the user configures an encrypted file-transfer endpoint).

Because the apps do not implement their own cryptographic algorithms and use only widely deployed, platform-provided encryption, they do not normally fall under export-restricted software categories beyond the standard treatment of mass-market software. This description is provided for general technical information only and is not legal advice; organisations with specific compliance obligations should consult their local export-control regulations if needed.

Local storage and user-controlled data sharing

Any logged or imported data is stored only on the user’s own device. If the user exports data (for example, a GNSS track, a start-status report, or app settings), this occurs through the user’s chosen apps and services. The user maintains full control over whether to share data and with whom.

Country-specific requirements

At this time, we are not aware of any country that prohibits the use or distribution of these apps, provided that users comply with their local laws when collecting or sharing data. However, users are responsible for ensuring that they respect any activity-specific rules, such as restrictions on GNSS use in sensitive or regulated areas.

Changes to this information

As regulations and platform requirements evolve, this compliance information may be updated to reflect new legal or technical obligations.
